Part Time Mandarin Language Teacher

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chinese Teacher to join our team as a part-time Chinese teacher at our brand new Agoura Hills language studio. You will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. Passion for teaching Mandarin as a second language to kids is a requirement for this job

**Working Hours Requirement**:

- Availability weekday afternoons (from 3-6pm) at least 2-3 weekdays a week

**Duties**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with MandarinArts' curriculum standards. We provide the textbooks, activity books, flash cards and materials for our classes, but the techer is also required to develop additional supplemental materials for class.
- Deliver engaging and fun classes to students by using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Collaborate with colleagues and the founders to develop and enhance curriculum materials
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and diversity

**Experience**:

- Must be a native Mandarin speaker originally from Taiwan or China
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or any early childhood or visual arts ediucation related field highly desirable (music, dance, visual arts, etc)
- Teaching certification is desirable
- Previous experience teaching in a classroom setting for kids (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior for a small classroom (less than 10 kids)
- Nurturing personality with passion for teaching kids 3-12 years of age

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 15 per week
