**Agronomy Sales Representative**

**Location**:Elkhorn, WI

**Hours**:Varies based on time of the year. Longer days are required in the Spring and Fall

**Position Summary**:
Conduct agricultural sales of Fertilizer, Chemical and seed. This role would include a working with an established customer base along with the opportunity to prospect and grow the business.

**Essential Functions**and Responsibilities**:
1. Working in the market to grow and service fertilizer, chemical and seed

2. Year around customer contact and scouting

3. Promote DeLong food grade program to potential and existing customers

4. Ag chemical, fertilizer & seed recommendations

5. Work with County Extension agents

6. Desire to serve farmers and others involved in the agriculture industry

7. Willingness to work as a team member

8. Desire to remain updated with new agricultural trends and technology

**Requirements**:

- EDUCATION: High School or equivalent required, Agricultural bachelor’s degree preferred
- EXPERIENCE: If no bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in Seed/Agronomy Sales preferred
- REQUIRED SKILLS: Self-motivated with ability to work long hours during peak seasons, focusing on accuracy and timely delivery of products
- PREFERRED SKILLS: Strong knowledge base and background in Agronomy
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and be able to operate a pallet jack for deliveries.
