**Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant**

This position is responsible for performing clerical functions and providing administrative support for the Finance/Accounting Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming correspondence.
- Maintain accounting files in accordance with established system.
- Copy/scan documents and distribute timely, accurately, and in accordance with established procedures.
- Export data from internal logs/databases/EMR system, as needed.
- Update surgery logs on a daily basis.
- Prepare cash receipts, summaries, bank deposits on a weekly basis.
- Maintain petty cash account and documentation.
- Assemble supporting documentation for transactions.
- Data entry of routine accounts payable transactions.
- Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
- Assist with various general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist with credentialing of physicians at hospitals and surgery centers.
- Perform other clerical/administrative tasks.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or higher degree required.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good customer service skills and flexibility with competing workload demands.
- Knowledge of and experience with MS Office Suite with proficiency in Excel.
- Basic bookkeeping experience or training a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Quickbooks preferred, but not required.
- Accuracy in data entry
- Good oral and written communication skills

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
