**What makes someone successful in this role?**
- Possessing a strong understanding of fire alarm systems.
- Strong customer services skills, project management skills, and basic electrical knowledge.
- Good mathematical aptitude along with good oral, written and communication skills and a valid driver license.
- Self-motivated to continue learning through training classes, courses and seminars as requested by supervisor.
**As Technician, you will...**
- Perform inspection and testing on fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair of fire alarm systems.
- Complete inspection reports and service work orders
- Installation of fire alarm equipment in accordance with code requirements
- Read and interpret building construction documents such as drawings, specifications and other contract documents.
- Prepare lists for ordering of fire alarm and detection system equipment.
- Perform accurate surveys of fire alarm systems in existing buildings.
- Coordinate installation with electricians
- Coordinate activities with Project Manager
**Education and/or Experience**:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in performing inspection, service work and troubleshooting is preferred.
**Certificates, Licenses and Registrations**:
- Willingness to obtain NICET Level certifications
- Valid drivers license
Starting Pay Range: $25-$28 per hour
