Chest Physician Consultants is looking to add to our team. We are looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist who takes pride in their work and thrives from a fast-paced environment, executing accurately and efficiently, no matter the task.

**In this busy medical practice, we are looking for someone who makes our patients feel welcome and taken care of while maintaining a high level of medical care and patient satisfaction**

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Obtain prior authorizations from third-party payers for medical imaging/medications/biologic injectable medications
- Work with providers to obtain authorization-related denials. (set up peer to peer appointments with insurances for providers) (5%)
- Fulfill all medical record requests
- Performs other registration duties as requested

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 1 year with medical terminology and healthcare insurance processes (preferred but not required).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in the use of healthcare information systems
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Maintains professional tone at all times when communicating with patients and payer representatives
- Critical problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail

**Pay Range: Between $16-$22**

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
