Behavior Technician

**Position Summary**:
The Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming with clients at Westside Children’s Therapy, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Providing predominantly play-based therapy, the RBT will support Westside clients in the development of a wide variety of skills.
**Essential Functions**:
- Implement direct therapy services for assigned clients and caseload, following programming written by BCBA
- Engage with BCBA during regular supervision sessions to ask questions and receive feedback
- Collect and record data on patients behavior
- Complete and submit required documentation (SOAP notes, etc) in a timely manner, aligned with Westside's policies and procedures
- Develop strong relationships with the children on your caseload and strive to make every session a fun experience
- Participate in weekly team meetings with clinic’s ABA team
- Maintain targeted caseload of 30 therapy hours per week
**Required Education, Experience and Credentials**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR Certification required within 90 days of hire
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable persona to better develop relationships with children and their families

**Work Environment and Physical Demands**:
- Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessions
- Ability to lift or carry 30 lbs
- Ability to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapy
**Travel Requirements**
- Some travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs.
