Join our dynamic team as a Construction Projects Estimator, where you will spearhead the estimation process for small construction projects and ongoing maintenance work. Ideal for professionals who excel in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, this role demands a keen eye for detail and a robust background in maintenance operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop precise cost estimates for small-scale construction projects and regular maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers and maintenance teams to compile all necessary data for bids.
- Utilize specialized software to enhance estimating accuracy, schedule projects, and track costs.
- Assess and select subcontractor proposals, focusing on reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze blueprints and project documents to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor requirements.
- Perform site visits and assessments to ensure thorough project understanding and accurate planning.
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive database of historical pricing and cost information for use in estimation and budgeting.
- Engage consistently with clients, subcontractors, and team members to discuss and clarify project details and financial limits.
- Ensure thorough preparation and accuracy of bid packets before submission.
- Handle and coordinate change orders and project adjustments efficiently.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction estimating, with a strong preference for backgrounds in small project and maintenance work.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard estimating software.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and analytical, with a proven track record of solving complex problems.
