Job Objectives:
The Team Leader is directly responsible for the extruder operation on his/her shift. The Team Leader reports directly to the Production Supervisor. The Team Leader is responsible for directing and improving the production of the extruder/winder departments by directing the activity of the other extruder/winder personnel on a daily basis. Including but not limited to the following responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
1. Establish work priorities in conjunction with the value stream manager.

2. Assigns and trains associates of the group in safe and correct work procedures and performance using the TWI method.

3. Plans work to be performed by the group. Assists assigned associates in resolving on-the-job technical problems.

4. Inspects, coordinates, and records work performed by the group.

5. Monitors safety.

6. Refer problems involving job discipline to the Supervisor for handling.

7. Use 5-Why to determine root cause.

8. Verifies and holds associates accountable for following Standard Work.

9. Lead the morning team meeting.

10. Leads continuous improvement activities.

11. Operate In production Capacity as needed.

Pay: From $21.40 per hour
