While this role reports into the centralized IT team structure, our business analysts are assigned to different business units across the firm to provide expertise and to ensure their success.

**What you'll bring to Sentinel**:

- Leverage strong analytical skills to generate meaningful insights through data analysis, contributing to informed decision-making
- Act as a bridge between your business unit and the Software Engineering team, fostering effective communication and synergy between cross-functional teams.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Actively participate in team meetings, chat channels and team-building activities to stay connected with your business unit.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis and generate reports to provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Play a vital role in the development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals
- Serve as the main contact for your assigned business unit and the Software Engineering team, facilitating effective communication and understanding between teams.
- Engage with the Business Analyst team bi-weekly to share insights, discuss challenges and enhance team collaboration.
- Contribute to the determination of firm-wide priorities, aligning initiatives with the overarching goals of the organization.
- Be the first contact for errors related to custom development, addressing and escalating issues as needed.
- Conduct thorough scoping and analysis of system improvements, encompassing both business processes and technology enhancements.
- Provide support for Laserfiche workflows and forms, contributing to small-scale development efforts as needed.
- Provide support for your assigned business unit for Salesforce, contributing to reporting, analysis and small workflows as needed.
- Occasionally participate in deployments and maintenance outside of normal business hours.

We are in search of a detail-oriented Business Analyst who possesses the initiative, determination and skill set to make significant contributions to Sentinel’s business processes. The organizations landscape is dynamic, and with a dedicated Business Analyst, we aim to enhance our ability to extract meaningful insights and drive informed decision-making.

**What you need to have**:
**Preferred qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

**Nice to haves: Experience with**:

- Laserfiche or similar workflow tools is a plus
- Salesforce is a plus
- Reporting tools (Crystal Reports, SSRS) is a plus
- Experience with writing MS SQL queries is a plus
