Bartenders should maintain positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. Keep the bar counter and work area neat and clean at all times.

Essential Job Functions:

- Obtain/Maintain Food Protection Certificate (a.k.a. “Food Handler’s License”)
- Obtain/Maintain TIPS Certification
- Take beverage orders from guests in a cheerful and pleasant manner. ƒ
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the standard drink recipes.
- Prepare and serve light food to hotel guests
- Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer.
- Accept guests’ payments, process credit card charges and makes changes to guest accounts (if applicable).ƒ
- Balance cash receipts.
- Prepare and replenish garnishes for drinks.
- Clean bottles and glasses and organize in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. ƒ
- Clear and reset tables in bar area. ƒ
- Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
- ƒMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas. ƒƒ
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the Operations Manager.
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol.
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
- Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

Guest Service:

- Provide personalized service to all guests.
- ƒAssists in maintaining guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel.
- Demonstrate a commitment to guest service by responding promptly to guest needs with interest and concern.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
