**WHAT YOU'LL DO**

Work with the Scenic Charge Artist, Technical Direction, and Properties team to help achieve design goals for each production.

**MINIMUM/CORE REQUIREMENTS**:

- 1-3 years experience in theatrical painting.

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of scenic painting techniques.
- Ability to execute paint treatments within a schedule.
- Ability to draw, plaster/texture, paint, and sculpt using scenic art techniques and methods such as faux painting, distressing, aging, etc.
- Ability to use HVLP, airless, airbrush, and Hudson sprayers.
- Ability to adapt to frequently changing circumstances, work collaboratively with other employees and guest artists, and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.

**KEY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Help prepare samples for approval of the Set Designer based on information provided (renderings and elevations) to ensure the elements for each production.
- Work with the Scenic Charge Artist, Technical Direction, and Properties team to paint both scenic and prop elements for each production.
- Assist Charge Artist in the maintenance and inventory of all paint equipment and supplies.
- Help create touch up kits for Production Carpenters to maintain the finish of each show throughout the run.
- May be required to work late nights and holidays depending on show needs.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to climb and work from lifts/ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capable of wearing a respirator.
