**Position Summary**

The Medical Lien Negotiator will negotiate medical liens with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other relevant parties, leveraging your expertise to secure optimal resolutions that protect our clients' interests. Review and analyze medical billing and lien documentation meticulously, identifying discrepancies, errors, and opportunities for negotiation. Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal staff, strategizing and supporting case-specific lien negotiation tactics. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lien negotiation activities and communications, ensuring transparency and accountability.

**Role and Responsibilities Lien Management**:

- Independently negotiate medical liens with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other relevant parties, leveraging your expertise to secure optimal resolutions that protect our clients' interests.
- Meticulously review and analyze medical billing and lien documentation and identify discrepancies, errors, and opportunities for negotiation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lien negotiation activities and communications, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to medical liens.

**Communication**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for medical providers, insurance companies, and clients regarding lien issues.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal staff, strategizing and supporting case-specific lien negotiation tactics.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all lien-related activities and communications.
- Prepare and submit required reports to attorneys and the director of legal staff.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and case managers to integrate lien management into the overall case strategy.
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews to provide input on lien-related matters.
- All other duties assigned.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Proven experience as a Medical Lien Negotiator within a legal setting, demonstrating a strong track record of successful negotiations.
- Comprehensive understanding of medical billing practices, lien resolution processes, and effective negotiation techniques.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently while taking direction when needed.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring no detail is overlooked.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration, business, or legal studies.
- Additional certifications or training in medical billing, lien resolution, or negotiations is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in lien management, medical billing, or a related field, preferably within a law firm or healthcare setting.

**Preferred Skills**
- Strong knowledge of medical lien processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to access office supplies and constantly operates a computer.
- Rarely ascends/descends, stoops, kneels, crouch or crawl.

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
