- The intern is in a trial period throughout the entire Pathways Internship appointment.

**Qualifications**:
**Basic Requirement**:

- Be enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, on at least a half-time basis, at a qualifying educational institution.
- Be seeking a diploma, degree, or certificate; AND
- Be in good academic standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50

**Qualifications**:
To qualify for the **Student Trainee (Finance)**, your experience must demonstrate attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, problem solving skills, researching data required for reporting purposes, creating data sets, and cleaning raw data.
- **To qualify at the GS-7 level**, you must meet the following requirements: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education in a related field such as Finance and accounting; or Eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree.
- S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.
- Class standing_ - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.
- Grade-point average (G.P.A.) - _Applicants must have a grade-point average of: 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.
- Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society_ - Applicants can be considered eligible based on membership in one of the national scholastic honor societies. These honor societies are listed by the Association of College Honor Societies.- **You must meet eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing of this announcement.**

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order to be credited towards qualifications. Applicants must have the general and specialized experience outlined below which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Must be currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in an accredited college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate on a full or half-time basis.

**NOTE: You MUST provide proof that you are currently enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment in the next academic term on a full-time or part-time basis.**
