Responsible for all Criminal records and all clerical work relating to the legal procedures for the Clerk of Courts mandated by the Florida Statutes and requested by the Judiciary.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Participate in all phases of the clerical work of the Circuit Court Felony Division of the Clerk of Courts.
- Process all pleadings filed, Court Memorandums, Court Orders in the division and input necessary data and scan to images the original documents into the automated system within the required time standards.
- Process new cases filed and reopened cases by input necessary data into the automated system, setting court dates, and building case files.
- Prepare case files and paperwork for court proceedings.
- Attend court proceeding. Completing Court Memorandum and paperwork pertaining to the Orders of the Court.
- Assists the public in providing copies, criminal record request, court information and collection of monetary obligations.
- Prepare and disburse Court Sentencing paperwork.
- Confers with Circuit Court Felony Manager with any concerns with regards to the operation of the Circuit Court Felony department.
- Responsible for receiving and processing payments, balancing cash drawer and running end of the day reports and completing deposit paperwork. Confer with Finance department if any concerns arise when the Criminal Intake Specialist is not available.
- Employee in this capacity will have access to confidential information and must maintain privacy of all confidential information.
- Performs special assignments, duties, and projects as instructed by the Circuit Felony Court Manager.
- Employees will be required to perform other duties as directed.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:

- Knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations relating to Court operations and Criminal procedures.
- Knowledge of the principles of criminal records, court records, and Sunshine Laws.
- Knowledge of computer systems, programs, and current software.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to analyze and interpret Criminal Court related issues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Typing skills.
- Telephone courtesy and information gathering skills.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.

**LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS**:

- N/A

(A comparable amount of training, education, or experience in government and/or the private sector may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications.)

**ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS**:

- Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform clerical duties in an open Courtroom for extended periods of time.
- Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction).
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid).
- Traverse stairs (if elevator is not accessible). Sit for extended periods of time. Lift and carry objects in excess of 10 pounds. Utilize stepladder (filing out of normal reach). Bend. Stoop.

**ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS**:
Fast pace Office and Courtroom environment.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
