**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:
Your role entails performing wildland fire duties like monitoring, reacting to, and putting out wildfires within a specific zone. You could be part of a group of wildland firefighters during emergencies and handle fire apparatus. Your tasks consist of securely surveying the area for fires and risks, along with aiding in maintaining equipment, prevention campaigns, community engagement, and training sessions. You will be given daily tasks, guidance, and oversight by a superior at the location, with your performance assessed through submitted reports.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Seasonal full-time employment without benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which the employee is placed on leave without pay.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime: Maybe required in emergency situations such as wildfire suppression. Fire duty will also be expected on weekends.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- Three months of experience in forest fire suppression or pre-suppression work and such training as may have been gained through completion of the eighth school grade; **or** Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
**Special Requirement**:

- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

**Other Requirements**:
