Full-time. This individual will be responsible for Property and Casualty insurance sales, both for commercial and personal lines accounts. They will also have the ability to write Life, Accident and Health Insurance. They will work with the sales manager on prospecting strategies, identifying target markets, and sales techniques in order to solicit business as agreed upon based on the agency’s needs and goals. This individual will be responsible for the following:

- Generate leads through networking, trade groups, cold calls, industry lists, referrals, etc.
- Prepare sales presentations for target segments
- Work with account managers on the placing and servicing of accounts
- Acquire a balanced book of business based on agency’s needs
- Provide annual account reviews of book of business to ensure clients are properly insured
- Accountable for the profitability of the book of business
- Must be professional and positively reflect our agency’s image and expertise

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- Would prefer someone with a minimum of two (2) years of insurance sales either commercial or personal lines and/or knowledge of the insurance industry.
- Must have strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to close an account, cross-sell and up-sell.
- Must be a self-starter and have a team player mentality.
- This individual should be comfortable with cold calling and prospecting independently.
- Must be a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
