- Bachelor’s degree. No experience required. Knowledge of Sam Houston Student student recruitment activities, admissions policies, and university procedure would be helpful. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.**Nature & Purpose of Position**Primary Responsibilities**Other Specifications**
- Computer skills strongly desirable. Regular contact with prospective students, parents, alumni, other state agencies and officials, junior/community college officials, and high schools and their officials. May require extensive travel during the fall semester (from the middle of September, through the middle of December). Also may require some weeks of travel during the spring semester. Must be reliable, personable, exhibit a positive image for the University, and be able to analyze large amounts of applicant information with precision and insight. Must also possess the ability to communicate effectively with a varied range of visitors and work in a high traffic area with several distractions. Requires driving and operating a University vehicle; therefore, a valid Texas driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University’s insurance carrier is required. The ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
