Description:
**Job Title**: Programmer Analyst III

**FLSA**: Exempt
**Function**: Information Technology
**Reports To**: VP of Information Technology

**Responsibilities**:
Analysis and Consultation:

- Facilitate meetings with business users from across the organization to assess their needs and recommend ways to address them
- Provide product, service, department, branch, and other requested analyses to support decision-making
- Research and analyze trends in the marketplace, identify opportunities, and report on the success of the credit union’s existing efforts
- Review analytics for website, mobile banking reports, etc.
- Craft requirements documentation, present it to the business users, and refine it with their feedback
- Architect solutions based on business requirements
- Leads troubleshooting of production issues as needed

Data extraction & report development:

- Design and generate ad-hoc reports from our internal systems and data sources to address new business questions
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain self-service reports for the business. These could be for any business unit across the organization. The reports could be historical, comparative, or operational in nature (for example, branch profitability, marketing campaign performance, financial, HR operations, etc.)

General Development:

- Promote and maintain a confidential environment to protect member, employee, and credit union information
- Curate and follow software best practices for reliability, security, performance, and maintainability
- Continually look for ways to refine simplify, optimize, and/or automate our processes
- Maintain and follow compliance and utilize appropriate, industry-standard measures and reporting guidelines to insure relevant and consistent data is produced
- Coordinates and leads updates to technical design documents, playbooks and other documentation

Communication:

- Report on progress and roadblocks to the Application Development team at the morning SCRUMs
- Keep business users apprised of progress on their respective projects and tasks

Professionalism at Arbor:

- Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the credit union’s products and services
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and engagement with core platform
- Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements, in addition to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- Exemplify the credit union’s core purpose and core values
- Create and promote a positive professional image of oneself and the credit union
- Arrive to work and meetings on time
- Complete assignments in a timely manner

**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems (CIS) or related field preferred
- Three - five years’ experience, preferably in the information technology industry
- Professional designation or certification using Microsoft development tools preferred
- Financial institution experience and/or credit union experience desired

**Skills, Abilities, and other Requirements**:
Strong database development skills:

- Constructing queries with SQL
- Modeling data
- Building database objects such as views, stored procedures, and functions
- Optimizing performance using indexes
- Working with source control
- Writing well-structured and maintainable code
- Performing testing, refactoring and improving existing code
- Deploying updates in a safe and controlled manner
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft products including Visual Studio, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS desired
- Back-end development experience: ASP.NET Core, Blazor, MVC, C#, Python, web service development and use (REST/JSON and SOAP/XML), working with vendor SDKs
- Front-end development experience: mínimally HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Experience with responsive design preferred. Experience with a front-end library is a plus (React, Bootstrap, Angular, etc.)

Development experience with any of these is a plus:

- Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, or SharePoint
- Altair Monarch or Altair Monarch Server Automator
- DocuSign and the DocuSign API
- Ability to conduct basic data analysis as well as identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets and make recommendations based on findings
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work independently, but also collaborate when necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Serve as a mentor (formally or informally) to junior development staff
- Lead internal training as needed
- Ability to keep up with a busy workflow
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
