**Overview**

For over 50 Years, Laurel Hill Summer Camp has been one of the best summer camps in Suffolk County, Long Island. The camp is designed for children from Preschool through 10th grade, providing them with a platform to explore new skills and interests during the summer.

Our camp offers various programs such as sports, arts and crafts, drama, music, gymnastics, karate, swimming, nature exploration, games, gardening, computers, swing shot, rock climbing, and tennis. This wide-ranging program aims to cater to different interests and encourages active, engaged learning in a fun, safe environment.

We look for Camp Team Members who are enthusiastic and motivated, possess a genuine love of teaching and coaching children and teens, and are eager to work hard and play hard.

Laurel Hill Summer Camp seeks a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to inspire young minds through diverse artistic mediums. This role is essential for fostering creativity and expression among campers of various age groups, from Elementary through Middle School.

The Art Teacher will lead classes in visual arts, crafts, and other creative projects, encouraging campers to express themselves artistically in a supportive and fun environment.

**Position**

As the Art Teacher, you will engage students in various art forms including, drawing, painting, crafts, sculpting, jewelry making, and more.

This position is an exciting opportunity for art educators passionate about developing creativity in young learners in a dynamic summer camp setting.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize, and lead art projects and activities.
- Teach a variety of artistic techniques and styles.
- Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for creativity.
- Manage supplies and equipment for art activities.
- Collaborate with other staff to integrate art into broader camp themes and activities.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in art education or as an art instructor.
- Strong knowledge of different art forms and teaching methods.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate children.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
