**Job Summary**

The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of the manufacturing department, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded. The Director of Manufacturing provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that Green Star Labs has the proper operational controls, administrative procedures, and systems in place to effectively grow the organization in order to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
- Oversee the entire manufacturing process to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness from raw materials to final product delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase productivity and meet production targets while maintaining high safety standards.
- Coordinate with the procurement team member to ensure timely availability of necessary materials and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics for production operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Monitor Production to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as quality control, facilities, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to optimize production workflows, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Manage and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, design and printing, and accounting to align manufacturing activities with sales forecasts, demand planning, and budgetary constraints.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems.
- Must have thorough knowledge of all production employee job responsibilities and abilities to efficiently allocate jobs.
- Must plan production schedule for a significant length of time to account for problems or obstacles in the short term.
- Assist with reviewing of batch production records prior to turning them in to Quality for final review.
- Become knowledgeable on most machine usage, troubleshooting.
- Consistently supervise individual employee production to accurately judge completion time and therefore accurately schedule the next job.
- Regularly review employee’s job performance.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

**Skills/Qualifications**: Strong leadership and management abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions. Proficient use of Microsoft teams. Strong understanding of quality management systems and best practices. Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of food, health and safety regulations and practices within the manufacturing industry. Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
