We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our Physical Therapy team as a Lead Physical Therapy Aide in a private Orthopedic Physical Therapy practice. The lead Physical Therapy aide plays a crucial role in assisting the Physical Therapists and practice owner to ensure smooth daily operations and a high-quality patient experience for each client. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. The primary responsibility is to provide support and assistance to the therapists in all aspects of patient care.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Care Assistance**: Assist Physical Therapists with the implementation of treatment plans and exercises during therapy sessions. Provide hands-on assistance and support to patients as directed and supervised by therapists, ensuring safe and effective exercise execution.
- **Patient Education**: Provide basic education to patients and their families regarding home exercise programs and reinforce therapist instructions and ensure patients understand their rehabilitation goals and treatment plans.
- **Patient Interaction**: Interact with patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner, providing encouragement, motivation, and support during therapy sessions. Address patient questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
- **Documentation**: Assist with documentation tasks, such as recording session notes and entering other relevant information into electronic medical records (EMR). Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- **Front Desk Assistance**: Assist with tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, receiving and entering payments, sending and receiving faxes, assisting the therapist in management of patient plans of care.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- **Safety and Compliance**:Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Monitor patient safety during therapy sessions and intervene as needed to prevent accidents or injuries.
- **Equipment Setup and Maintenance**: Set up and prepare therapy equipment and modalities for patient use, ensuring that all equipment is clean, calibrated, and in working order. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.Monitor equipment usage and report any issues to management.
- **Supervision and Training**: Supervise and mentor other physical therapy aides, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practices. Lead by example and foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- **Staff Scheduling**: Coordinate staff schedules using google calendar, managing employee time off and coverage, scheduling staff meetings.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in maintaining inventory levels of therapy supplies and equipment, conducting regular checks, and placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- **Customer relations**: Participate in customer relation activities including both internal and external marketing activities and social media as directed.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree or completion of a physical therapy aide program preferred.
- Previous experience as a physical therapy aide or similar role in a clinical setting
- Available full time Monday-Friday
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor other team members effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to Physical Therapy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of practice.

Pay: $16.90 - $19.80 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
