As a construction laborer at our excavation company, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will involve physical labor on construction sites, including site preparation, equipment operation, and teamwork. Here are the key details:
**Responsibilities**:
**Assist with the and care for construction equipment and machines.**
- You’ll handle various tools and machinery used in excavation work, including shovels, brooms, trench compactors and skid steer loaders.
- If you prove yourself, we will assist with teaching you to operate equipment.

**Assist equipment operators, and other skilled labor when necessary.**
- Teamwork is essential to get the job done efficiently.
- Keep streets clean.
- Keep pedestrians safe if they are near the construction site.
- Use traffic control equipment.
- Assist with GPS assisted survey tools and set stakes as required.

**Prepare construction sites by keeping work areas clean and removing hazards.**
- Ensuring safety and efficiency during site preparation.

**Load or unload construction materials.**
- Handling heavy materials safely and effectively.

**Assist with the monitoring and management of dump trucks.**
- Provide safe ingress and egress in and out of project sites.
- Verify time of arrival and departure for each load.

**Follow instructions from supervisors.**
- Adhering to project guidelines and safety protocols.

**Be ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.**
- Continuous learning and improvement.

**Requirements**:
**Must have a valid driver’s license - **You’ll need to operate vehicles as part of your duties.

**Be at least 18 years of age** - Legal requirement for construction work.

**High school diploma - **Basic educational qualification.

**Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous tasks - **Physical fitness is crucial.

**Ability to work in all weather conditions** - Construction happens rain or shine.

**Punctuality and reliability - **Dependability is essential.

**Experience as a general laborer in the construction industry - **Prior experience is beneficial.

Hourly Rate of pay may be determined by Wage Scale jobs, when available.
