Peterson Electro-Musical Products, Inc. is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment for the music industry. Founded in 1948 and still family-owned today, we have an outstanding reputation in our field. Located in Alsip, IL with close access to the I-294, restaurants, and shopping. We offer a pleasant work environment with a family atmosphere.

Currently, we have an opening in our Tech Department and we’re looking for an Electronics Technician who is skilled on the bench but can also be a problem solver and forward thinker. An excellent work ethic is a must.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Testing, troubleshooting and repairing circuits
- Communicating with management and engineering to understand problems and provide progress updates
- Maintaining logs that provide dates and details of repairs and maintenance performed

**Desired Skills**:

- Ability to read and interpret schematics for board level repair
- Good written and communication skills
- Ability to solder - surface mount familiarity is desired but not required
- Be able to operate signal generator, oscilloscope, multimeter, and other lab test equipment as needed
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often small
- Basic computer skills desired but not required
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace

This position offers a 40-hour workweek Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:20 PM in a pleasant work environment. Competitive pay and full benefits including health, life & dental insurance, sick pay, vacation, and 401K are provided.
