**The Otesaga Role Summary**:
The Director of Information Technology Hospitality works directly with the Executive Team and across all departments to establish, foster, position, and reinforce a positive cultural environment for current and prospective employees. The Director of Information Technology Hospitality will develop and implement a comprehensive and integrated information technology plan which supports and fosters the broader strategic and business plan and is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of hardware, software, and audio-visual resources.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administer issuing telephones, cell phones, and computer related hardware. (Inventory Management/Life Cycle
- Diagnose and repair hardware, including printers, computers, terminals, and telecom devices.
- Evaluate and recommend new hardware/software system’s needs.
- Assist end-users with all computer and telecom system related queries for both administrative staff as well as hotel guests.
- Coordinate all special client requests for meetings and events.
- Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain hardware/software.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the in-house Audio Visual Staff.
- Accountable for achieving the highest standards of technology, products and services rendered to homeowners, guests and employees
- Monitor the ordering and receiving program for all divisional products and supplies to ensure proper quality, quantity, price and safety on all purchases
- Responsible for all network infrastructure, server infrastructure, operating systems and administering key business systems
- Assist team with identifying the causes of and correcting failures on critical systems
- Oversee network traffic, bandwidth utilization, network and equipment alarms
- Responsible for coordinating system upgrades and patching. Technology Evaluation and Implementation. Be informed about standards and best practices. Evaluating technologies and solutions; suitable for hotel’s network infrastructure. Planning and executing technology upgrades, migrations, and system patches.
- Accountable for implementing disaster recovery procedures. Documented disaster recovery plan(s).
- Evaluate hardware and software platforms
- Implement new technologies in a timely and effective manner
- Responsible for all aspects of database maintenance, management and integration
- Manage overall group policies and system security
- Responsible for problem analysis and problem solving in the performance of developing and supporting software installation and support
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Guest Experience Enhancements: Lead initiatives to implement technology solutions that enhance guest experience, i.e. mobile check-in/out, in-room entertainment systems, high speed internet, guest facing digital a/v interfaces.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related major. Masters preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in information technology management in hospitality industry, preferably in resort properties.
- 5 years' experience in a comparable position in a hospitality operation.
- Demonstrated experience working with a broad scale of computer hardware and software
- Proficient use of Network and Application Management Tools
- Several years of server/network maintenance design experience
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- General Understanding Required:

- o Hotel Property Management Systems
- Hotel Sales and Catering Systems
- Restaurant Point of Sale Systems
- Audio Video Technologies in a Conference Center environment
- Remote access technologies - VPN implementation
- Strong understanding of hospitality technology, property management systems (PMS), point of sales (POS) systems, guest experience enhancement technologies.
- Experience with network technologies, such as Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Rukus, and WIFI management platforms.
