**TARGET OUTCOMES**

This position is expected to:

- Assist “front-end” in preparing and submitting all required documents for solar permits
- Obtaining all necessary permits and approvals from local jurisdictions
- Support “back-end” with permit closeouts
- Coordinate and schedule final inspections
- Contribute creatively towards the department’s expansion

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

“Front-End” Process - Permit Submissions and Approvals
- Following up with building departments to request updates and obtain building permits as soon as possible.
- Create and maintain relationships with various building officials to ensure future success of permit issuance.

“Back-End” Process - Permit Closeouts
- Develop and obtain a comprehensive set of local jurisdiction’s requirements in regard to solar final building inspections.
- Create and maintain relationships with various building officials and inspectors to ensure future success of permit closeouts.
- Coordinating and scheduling all final building department inspections as necessary

after completed solar installations.
- Be able to address any issues preventing the progression of the project as they arise.
- Coordinating and scheduling all final building inspections and uploading permitting documents to obtain Letters of Completion.
- Updating all projects in Acculynx which enables successful tracking towards project completion.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS**
- Experience with permitting practices and procedures in Maryland, specifically Prince George's, Baltimore, Montgomery, and Anne Arundel counties
- Detailed oriented, ability to manage multiple projects under restrictive deadlines.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with computers, including Google office suite and CRM’s ( Acculynx experience is a plus but not required)
- Must be proactive with the ability to evaluate situations and present solutions.
- Capable of working in a team environment as well as acting and operating confidently and independently.
- Demonstrated capability of problem solving; capable of taking an undefined problem and

identifying solvable approaches.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- No experience required, but experience working in a construction environment preferred.
- Prior experience working with building departments.
- Bachelors/Associates degree OR relevant work experience in the field.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.

**HOURS, COMPENSATION**

This is a full time, 40 hours per week position. Employee shall be compensated at a rate of $55,000-$65,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Compensation will be increased with time in service and strong performance.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
