Security Officer Weekends $18/hr

**CURRENT OPENINGS**:

- Weekends Saturday/Sunday: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm
- ** Part-Time** (16-29 hours / week)

**LOCATION**: Rockford, MI

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**: As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. This opening is at the global headquarters for a manufacturer based in Rockford, MI. Some responsibilities may include:

- ** Customer Service** - provide the highest level of customer service when interacting with employees, visitors, and co-workers.
- ** Mobile Patrol** - Drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors.
- ** Patrolling** - Walk the interior and exterior of the various office buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, and maintenance issues.

**SUCCESS** as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like:

- ** Reliability** - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
- ** Friendly** **Personality**:

- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
- ** Following Company and Client Policies** - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
- ** Use of De-escalation Techniques** - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
- Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No other major violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
- ** Phone Interview**:

- Review of our basic qualifications as well as your work history and future goals.
- ** Virtual Interview** - Interview with a Recruiter or Manager via video software.
- ** On-site Interview** - Get the opportunity to see the site location and understand what the role entails. Meet the supervisor and interview directly with our client.
