Part-time (approximately 12 hours per week during Summer (2-5pm Tues-Fri), ramping to 25-30 hours per week in the Fall)

**ABOUT US**

**ABOUT THE POSITION**
- **PURPOSE**_
- **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**_
- Provide general support, mentoring and supervision of teens at the Hyland Teen Center
- Co-facilitate a Teen Council for interested teens at the Hyland Teen Center providing oversight and coordination to obtain input from the youth on teen center programming and events as well as promotion of the teen center through social media.
- Provide support at local school-based wellness centers during school year including peer mentoring, promotion of positive life-skills development, and encouragement of continued growth in social/emotional wellbeing.
- Provide transitional age youth assessments and transitional age youth life-skills development,
- Participate in training, conferences and workshops related to youth behavioral health,
- Act as an inspiring and positive role model,
- Provide additional support as directed by the Executive Director including but not limited to Teen/Community Awareness Program, and miscellaneous administrative tasks.
- **QUALIFICATIONS**_
- **Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to**:_
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Degree or currently enrolled in college classes (preferred)
- Strong interest in the field of psychology or social services
- Experience working with adolescents strongly preferred
- Bilingual - Spanish/English (preferred)
- Experience with Social Media (preferred)
- **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:_
- Experience providing services to adolescents, and families preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual ability preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and related computer software.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally and economically diverse population.
- **CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**_
- Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI.
- Ability to travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation needed.
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License with insurance, and maintain a clean driving record.
- Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CPR certificate.
- Must attend any required training.
