Amana Academy Charter School is anticipating teacher and paraprofessional openings for the 2022-23 school year. Amana Academy is a thriving Expeditionary Learning School with 2 campuses in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

**Position Summary**:
Amana Academy’s Physical Education (PE) program places a strong emphasis on personal fitness, nutrition, and character development, and reinforces the EL Education school culture of respect, responsibility, and achievement. Physical education teachers explicitly plan opportunities for students to challenge their perseverance, personal fitness, and collaboration skills.

It helps to create student engagement and focus on character that distinguishes the EL Education experience. Adventure can be any physical, artistic, or intellectual experience that involves risk, challenge, and discovery. We promote the kind of adventures that create opportunities for leadership and collaboration as groups of students and teachers face challenges together.

**Requirements**:

- All positions require a minimum of bachelor’s degree and valid, current Georgia teaching certification in ESOL for this position.
- Experience in a progressive, constructivist, and/or gifted education setting is desired. STEM-based, STEAM-based, and/or project-based learning (PBL) experience is preferred.
