**General Statement of Duties**

**This position is a full-time (8hrs/day) custodial worker at the Hermitage Advanced Career Education Center. This position is open until filled. **(School-year - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F; Summer hours - 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M-Th)**

**Minimum $32,841.37 annually (15.79 per hour). This position is available on July 1, 2024 for the 2024-25SY.**

**Essential Duties**Strips, seals, waxes, and buffs floors
- Scrubs and rinses floors in assigned area
- Damp mops a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, library, halls, stairs, cafeteria, kitchens, locker rooms and mechanical equipment rooms)
- Dusts a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, stage, library, halls, gym floors, and cafeteria)
- Sweeps shops, stairs and entrance areas, locker room, bleachers, sidewalks, halls
- Cleans and scrubs restrooms completely
- Dusts rooms, offices, furniture and cupboards and removes cobwebs
- Empties and washes garbage cans
- Attends work daily and be engaged and on task
- Performs overtime work on a scheduled, unscheduled, routine or emergency basis, as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**

Grade school completion. Knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment economically and efficiently; ability to follow simple oral and written directions. Good physical condition required. Ability to work at high altitudes using scaffolds, ladders, etc.

Physical requirements: lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; walking; pushing/pulling; climbing; stooping; kneeling; bending; standing; flexibility with lower and upper body; smelling; touching; talking; stamina; hearing

Work environment may include: Noise; fumes; grease; dirt/dust; inside/outside; working alone and with others; confined areas; chemicals; repetition; hazards
