A Hug Away, Inc. is seeking an experienced Hospice Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for managing all aspects of billing and revenue cycle processes for hospice services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and submit accurate and timely hospice claims to insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.
- Review and reconcile accounts receivable reports to ensure proper payment and address discrepancies.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and resolve billing issues with insurance companies and patients.
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly billing and financial reports for management.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries.
- Stay current with changes in billing regulations, insurance policies, and hospice care requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in hospice or home health care.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge in Medicaid billing.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
