Operations Supervisor

**General Responsibilities**:
The Operations Supervisor position manages janitorial operations that facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals.

**Essential Functions**:

- Oversee janitorial operations for designated customer sites.
- Monitor daily work hours to remain within budgetary guidelines.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with Employees.
- Ensure proper usage of supplies and equipment through the training and development of employees.
- Communicates staffing changes to Manager.
- Assist Manager with Conducting inspections to ensure employees are following procedures and client specific SOP.
- Performs routine building inspections through frequent walkthroughs.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective mariner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Assist with interviewing and hiring.
- Ensures the accuracy and proper submission of payroll timecards.
- Submit timely employee change orders.
- Report any issues, concerns, or discrepancies to Manager.
- Identify and resolve cleaning issues, make recommendations to management and staff, and promote continuous quality improvement to exceed customer expectations.
- Order and deliver supplies.
- Identify TAG opportunities.
- Conduct safety training sessions with employees and support the manager in ensuring completion of Company STEP training.
- Enforces and promotes company culture with our DNA and Pillars in mind to ensure we are providing services the Pegasus way.
- Assist cleaning staff in duties when necessary.
- Manage inventory of cleaning equipment and notify Manager of repairs needed.
- Adhere to company guidelines for employee relations, employee discipline and termination procedures.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as required.

**Required Education and Experience**:

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 + years of related experience required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English is preferred. This skill will aid in reporting issues to leadership, conversing with clients, and coordinating with team members.
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) and interpersonal skills.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Openness to learning new cleaning techniques and understanding how to effectively use company cleaning equipment is required.
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Must provide proof of work authorization and complete an I-9 and E-Verify process.
- Must always align with Pegasus DNA.

**Work Environment**:
This job operates in a professional office environment, or medical buildings, and/or other industry buildings, depending on accounts. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job regularly walks job sites.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
This position manages all assigned employees of the department and is responsible for leadership, performance management with the discretion of the Operations and Regional Leaders.

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to walk several times a day across multiple job sites.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to push a broom or mop; bend, reach, stand and walk for extended periods.
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms, and legs, including climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, crawling, and squatting.

**Reasoning Ability**:

- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**:
This is a full-time position, working flexible schedule in the morning, evenings, and weekends. Schedule will be confirmed with Manager.

**Travel**:
Travel is primarily locally, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
