Bay Farm Montessori Academy is seeking lead staff for its Summer Program.

Openings exist in our Toddler House (18mo - 2.5 years); Children's House (2.5yr - 5yr); and Elementary (6yrs - 10yrs).

Bay Farm's Summer Program will run from June 10 - August 9. Hours are 8:00 - 4:00PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Oversee a group of 10-20 children and serve as the EEC-licensed lead teacher;
- Oversee an assistant counselor to coordinate preparation of spaces, coordination of lunches/snacks, and general support;
- Rotating coverage of pick-up and drop-off;
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment in which the students will thrive during their summer break;
- Develop a mutually beneficial relationship with parents of students through ongoing responsible, timely, and respectful communication;
- Participation in staff meetings and trainings;
- Represent the school in a positive light, whether in or out of school.

Minimum Requirements:

- Experience preferably in early childhood education
- Toddler House Counselors MUST have EEC license
- EEC License preferred, but not required for Children's House / Elementary programs
- Interest in Montessori Philosophy
- Calm and peaceful disposition
- A strong desire for ongoing learning about teaching, children, education, and Montessori
