Hope House Foundation is seeking a Resource Coordinator to work in person in our administrative office in Norfolk. This position is responsible for the execution and oversight of the organization representative payee process including monitoring individual rep payee accounts, executing bill pay through accounting software and banking institutions, budgeting and monitoring spending, and reconciling and producing financial reports. The Resource Coordinator will also work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities living independently, as well as government agencies, Social Security, Social Services, and Housing Authorities, to obtain and/or maintain benefit entitlements. Must be able to meet with those accepting services in their home environment and willing to travel to various government agencies, landlords, and banking institutions. The position requires travel within Hampton Roads.

**General**:

- Procurement and benefits maintenance: Assist individuals receiving services with various benefits programs such as social security, housing vouchers, and social services benefit programs. Also handle taxes related to these benefits.
- Correspondence and medical billing: Assist teams with communication with insurance companies and resolving issues related to medical billing.
- Account reconciliation: Ensure accuracy in Accufund accounts and handle representative payee functions.
- Database maintenance: Keep databases and benefit workbooks updated with current information.
- Mail processing: Handle department mail on a daily basis.
- Foodbank management: Lead on Foodbank-related tasks including training, shopping, billing, and compliance.
- Grant management: Maintain and complete information for grants related to the benefits department.

**Operational**:

- Communication: Keep supervisor informed of critical information related to benefits procurement and other responsibilities. Maintain effective relationships and act as a liaison with other agencies, businesses, property managers, and family members.
- Paperwork and meetings: Complete required paperwork on time, maintain communication with benefit agencies, and attend necessary meetings and appointments with people receiving services.
- Recognition: Acknowledge accomplishments and talents of team members on individual, team, and agency-wide basis.

**Personnel**:

- Administrative tasks: Complete non-service related forms such as payroll and mileage sheets.
- Feedback incorporation: Solicit and incorporate feedback into current systems to meet agency needs.
- Policy adherence: Understand and follow agency policies, participate in policy development and implementation.
- Team contribution: Contribute to the growth and development of the Admin team and the agency as a whole.
- Participation: Attend agency-wide retreats, admin-based staff meetings, and other required meetings.
- Responsiveness: Respond to requests for feedback or information from various entities.
- Vehicle usage: Use personal vehicle during work hours as needed.
- Policy adherence: Adhere to the organization's Policies and Procedures.
- Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of information and records pertaining to services.
- Office upkeep and errands: Maintain office cleanliness and run errands outside the office when needed.
