Who we are looking for:
The State Street Global Cybersecurity team is looking for a Cyber Policy and Strategy Manager. The Cybersecurity team is responsible for ensuring that all platforms, architecture, and tooling used across the State Street enterprise are secure and compliant by design. As a Cyber Policy and Strategy Manager, you will help to spearhead the effort to work with multiple stakeholders to ensure State Street’s cybersecurity policies remain aligned with industry best practices and compliant with the evolving cybersecurity regulatory landscape. You will also work closely with various teams, including development teams, to mature the implementation process of new cybersecurity initiatives and help identify efficiencies throughout the development lifecycle.

What you will be responsible for:

- Prepare functional and specific support plans and prepare and manage correspondence.
- Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders.
- Assess policy needs and collaborate with stakeholders to aid in the development of policies to govern cyber activities.
- Analyze organizational cyber policy.
- Assist in the development of policy, programs, and guidelines for implementation.

What we value:

- Demonstrated knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) strategies including NIST, ISO, and CCM;
- Experience with technical governance standards, policies, controls in large, regulated organizations.
- Project management and organizational skills
- Experience in security architecture, with a focus on hybrid and multi cloud solutions.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

- You have more than five (5) years of experience in the field of cybersecurity in general, and at least two (2) years as a manager of technical teams.
- You are a strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with senior leaders within the organization.
- Must be forward thinking and a self-starter.
- You have demonstrated skill in administrative planning activities, to include preparation of functional and specific support plans, preparing and managing correspondence, and staffing procedures.
- You have knowledge of how to develop policy, plans, and strategy in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards in support of organizational cyber activities.
- You are able to leverage best practices and lessons learned of external organizations and academic institutions dealing with cyber issues.
- You have demonstrated skill in preparing plans and related correspondence.
- You have knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- You have knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
- You have knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.
- You have knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
