**Description**:
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced **Unit Secretary **to join our team at **Mercy Medical Center.** This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.
**_ What you will do:_**
- Meets/greets patients/family/visitor in a pleasant manner assisting them with comfort needs though out their hospital stay.
- Answers telephone calls, responds to routine inquiries, and relays messages. Responds to patient’s intercom calls and notifies appropriate personnel of patient’s request.
- Pages or places calls for providers, books transportation needed to transfer patients.
- Assembles medical charts and maintains charts by filing all necessary reports and results. Maintains confidentiality of the patient record
- Assists with the coordination of patient needs for satisfaction. Orders meals, calls housekeeping, and notifies management if concerns are heard in the department.
- Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager
**_ Minimum Qualifications_**
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
- CPR/ Basic Life Support certification required (AMA or Red Cross)
- Assault Reduction Training

Schedule_**
- Full-Time, 36 hours days shift
- 7:00A- 7:00PM
- Must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
