Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practioner / Physician Assistant

**Duties**:

- Perform patient assessments to gather information on mental health history, symptoms, and current condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by psychiatrists or other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients for any changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families.
- Document patient progress, interventions, and responses to treatment in medical records.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, medications, and coping strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and progress.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practioner or Physician Assistant in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and their side effects.
- Experience with patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Familiarity with acute care protocols for psychiatric emergencies.
- Ability to provide health coaching and education to patients.

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in assessing patient needs and developing appropriate interventions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
