Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Assembler II (1st Shift).

The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour. The hours for this shift is 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Eaton’s Aerospace Group, Interconnect Technology Division (ITD) is currently seeking a Manufacturing Assembler to join our team. This position is based at our Camarillo, CA location

**Primary Function**:
Sets up equipment, prepares compounds and processes a variety of assemblies, such as standard connectors and special connectors following written and verbal instructions.

**Essential Functions**:

- Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping and contact hooding.
- Weigh, mix and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds and potting materials.
- Able to interface with customers if necessary.
- Follow intermediate drawings and procedures.
- Perform connector assemblies.
- Perform work with limited to no supervision.
- Train and assist Assembler 1s.
- Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions.
- Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts per work order instructions.
- Bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies per work order instructions.
- Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.
- Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safe work environment. Assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area.
- Stage materials for shipment as required.
- Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.

**Qualifications**:
**Basic Qualifications**:

- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Ability to use calculators
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to use of hand tools
- Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown
- Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts
