Position Description:
**At a Glance**

**What Will You Do?**

**Essential job Functions**:

- Manual touch-up of metal components as needed to produce a quality coated component.
- Rework rejected parts when required.
- Conduct pre-start-up maintenance for powder guns and hoppers.
- Follow established preventative maintenance schedules; request maintenance department assistance when required.
- Conduct routine shutdown procedures for powder guns and powder booths.
- Meet production schedules.
- Offer suggestions to improve department through-put.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Follow safety rules, safe operating procedures and practices; help ensure all employees follow safety rules, procedures and practices.
- Active participation in ongoing individual training/development programs.
- Set goals and objectives with Manager; look for ways to improve quality and productivity.
- Maintain good housekeeping conditions in work area.
- Report abnormalities in equipment, machines, programs and processes.
- Perform backup functions to other team members as instructed.
- Engage in cross-training to support back-up efforts as directed.

Qualifications:
**Required Skills**:

- 1-2+ years experience in powder paint finishing systems on a variety of substrates from within a manufacturing environment
- High level of self-initiative and dependability
- Must be willing to pitch in as needed; flexible to perform overtime duties and adjust schedule when required
- Resourceful and highly organized with an attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage, prioritize and balance multiple tasks
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Must possess positive, "can do" attitude.

**Equipment Used**:

- Manual and automatic powder paint guns
- Powder booth equipment and controls
- Hand tools
- Pallet jacks
- Carts, etc.
