Second Captain

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain to join our team. As a Captain, you will be responsible for managing and leading a crew, ensuring the safe operation of the vessel, and maintaining compliance with all maritime regulations. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and lead a crew of sailors and deckhands
- Ensure the safe navigation and operation of the vessel
- Maintain compliance with all maritime regulations and safety standards
- Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust course as necessary
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the vessel
- Communicate effectively with crew members, port authorities, and other vessels
- Provide training and guidance to crew members as needed

**Requirements**:

- Must have a valid captain's license or certification
- Previous experience as a Captain or in a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
- Ability to manage and militarize crew members effectively
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to rig sails and operate mechanical systems on board
