Payroll/hr Specialist Toast Payroll System

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in payroll software and financial concepts.
Responsibilities: Handle Toast payroll systems, HR compliance, health insurance and other duties relating to payroll
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
- Review timesheets for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare payroll reports for management
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, including tax forms and direct deposit information
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation
**Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and accounts receivable
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or issues
- Proficiency in using payroll software (e.g., Kronos, Ceridian)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Familiarity with financial concepts related to payroll management

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
