The Floater Teacher plays a crucial role in providing flexible and responsive support within the educational setting. This position involves assisting in various classrooms, supporting teachers, and ensuring continuity in student learning in the absence of regular teachers. The Floater Teacher must possess excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a strong understanding of educational principles.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Classroom Support**:

- Provide support to teachers by assisting with classroom management, lesson implementation, and student engagement.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to reinforce instructional goals and maintain continuity in the learning process.
- **Substitute Teaching**:

- Fill in for absent teachers as needed, following lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular teacher.
- Ensure a smooth transition for students in the absence of their regular teacher, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
- **Individualized Student Support**:

- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students who require additional academic support or enrichment activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction.
- **Behavior Management**:

- Assist in maintaining a positive classroom climate by implementing behavior management strategies and promoting a culture of respect and cooperation.
- Address behavioral issues promptly and effectively, following school policies and procedures.
- **Curriculum Implementation**:

- Support the implementation of curriculum standards by facilitating learning activities and assessments in alignment with educational objectives.
- Modify instructional activities as needed to meet the diverse needs of students and promote inclusive learning environments.
- **Professional Development**:

- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay updated on educational best practices, and contribute to ongoing school improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and instructional techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (required).
- State teaching certification or licensure (preferred).
- Previous experience working in educational settings, preferably as a classroom teacher or instructional aide.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and continuous professional growth.

**Schedule**:
10am-7pm with 1 hour break

Monday-Friday

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
