The Medical Assistant works to assist clinicians in providing health care at clinic locations. - **Position Details**:

- Location: 814 Woodbury Road, Woodbury, NY 11797
- Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm. Wednesday 12pm - 7pm. Rotating Friday and Saturday
- Specialty: Pediatrics

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Increasingly gain responsibility for providing assistance to the healthcare clinician by providing direct patient care
- Obtains patient histories and vital signs and records accurately in EPIC
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment and documents chief complaints
- Retrieves laboratory and radiology test results and instructs patients regarding treatment per clinician’s instructions
- Stocks supplies and prepares exam rooms and instruments for examinations, testing or procedures
- Responds to incoming phone calls and refers if necessary. Calls patients as necessary to follow up and/or schedule appointments
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications - External**

**Required Qualifications**:

- Experience in a medical office setting
- Experience with PC and Microsoft office

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Medical Assistant certification
- 1+ years of experience working as a Medical Assistant performing front and clinical back-office duties
- Experience working with EPIC EMR software
