Overview:
Directs all administrative and management activities for the Heart & Vascular Center at D-H.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides administrative support in the development and implementation of annual and long term programmatic, financial, and operational plans and budgets.
- Leads the administrative team in developing management systems to support clinical service.
- Leads the program support, design, and execution strategies and tactics to improve the overall health of the population served.
- Supports each academic area to help them further academic, teaching, and research missions.
- Oversees the development and submission of operating budgets, manages expenses, monitors revenue, expense, and margin budget variances, and implements corrective action.
- Identifies and solves operational problems and develops opportunities for new or enhanced patient care services.
- Ensures compliance standards are met.
- Coordinates programs among the sections of the Heart and Vascular Center in order to improve integration of services, faculty, and staff.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree with 5 years of experience in health care administration, preferably in the ambulatory care setting, or equivalent in education and experience required.
- Ability to relate to and deal effectively with physicians, administrators, support staff and the general public with a high degree of tact and discretion.
- Excellent oral and writing skills.
- Strong financial background required.
- Ability to present unfamiliar detailed information to others in a readily comprehensive way.
- Familiarity with information systems concepts, budget processes, marketing strategies and strategic planning methodology.
