**Financial Analyst / Associate**

Location: Houston, TX

Shift: Monday - Friday

**Description**:
The Financial Analyst / Associate will work as part of the Finance team while also supporting the Commercial and Operations groups by developing evaluation and reporting materials to aid in key decisions. The individual will be based in Piñon’s corporate headquarters in Houston, TX and will report to the Director of Finance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and update Piñon’s corporate model for development of financial forecasts and analysis
- Compile monthly and quarterly variance analysis to explain variances in financial statement accounts
- Create and update presentation materials for equity and debt investors
- Develop asset level financial models to aid in recommendations to evaluate on new investment opportunities
- Assist the Commercial group with developing project economics and customer proposals
- Preparation of financial statements and analysis for monthly financial package
- Analyzing financial aspects of agreements for commercial negotiations
- Reviewing monthly settlement statements for accuracy and completeness
- Provide tracking reports and analysis on existing and future contracts
- Support Operations team by implementing systems for managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Other duties as necessary

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience with an investment bank, commercial bank, leading accounting firm or midstream company strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of natural gas gathering and processing
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze financial statements and create financial models
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
