**Responsibilities**:
**Summary**:
The position is responsible for directing armory and lock-shop for all the business unit’s facilities. It is also responsible for developing locking and keying schedules for any new facility under development, ensuring compliance with all Federal Firearms and Explosive devices regulations and maintaining the business unit’s master inventories for all firearms and explosive devices. The incumbent acts as the liaison between the Company and the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) Agency.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Directs operations of the business unit’s armory and lock-shop operations.
- Conducts audits of security operations at facilities on armory and lock-shop operations.
- Directs and maintains the master inventories for the business unit’s weapons and less lethal devices.
- Directs and manages compliance reporting for the business unit’s Federal Firearms license and destructive devices regulations.
- Maintains certification as armorer and master locksmith for all major manufactures of locking devices, systems and weapons.
- Trains field staff on chemical agents, firearms, disturbance control and use of force techniques.
- Submits annual budget requirements for the business unit’s armory and lock-shop operations.
- Provides technical expertise and lock and keying schedule set-ups for new facilities under development.
- Acts as liaison between Corporate Operations and Corporate Project Development.
- Provides training for trainers on firearms instructors, disturbance control and baton techniques.
- Provides mentoring, training and guidance to the business unit’s Armory and Lock-shop Officers and Sergeants.
- Assists in preparing annual performance evaluations for the business unit’s Armory and Lock-shop Officers and Sergeants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
**Minimum Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree is related field preferred.
- Ten (10) years progressive experience in correctional facility armory and lock-shop operations.
- Certification in correctional facility locking systems such as Brinks, Southern Steel, Folger Adams, or Foley-Belsaw.
- Instructor certification for Lead firearms, prisoner transportation, chemical agents and munitions, and CERT and Disturbance Control techniques.
- Certifications in firearms repair and maintenance from all manufactures used by the business unit.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to provide instructions that are clearly understood and carried out.
- Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of the Company’s policies and applicable state and federal laws and contract requirements.
- Ability to travel frequently with overnight stays.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Pay: Pay USD $85,000.00/Yr. to USD $90,000.00/Yr. Bonus (if applicable): 5%
