Estimator

Trystate Mechanical, an HVAC mechanical contractor, is looking for an Estimator to join our team in Douglaston, NY. Trystate is part of EQUANS MEP Services Northeast, a Mechanical/HVAC, distributed energy, and project-delivery solutions provider. Primary Job Responsibilities:

- Download and print drawings and specifications
- Contact and work closely with vendors and subcontractors to solicit quotations
- Identify scope of work and perform detailed take-offs of HVAC piping, plumbing, medical gas and process piping systems
- Work with construction managers and owners to provide complete estimates
- Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site surveys
- Develop budgets for construction phase services based on progress design documents
- Maintain cost databases
- Provide estimates for change orders
- Participate in turnover meetings to project management teams
- Additional duties as assigned

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 3-5 years of estimating experience; large project, commercial/industrial cost estimating experience.
- Proficient computer and software (e.g., Estimation, QuoteSoft, Excel, Bluebeam, etc.) skills
- Knowledge of Estimation piping program software on-screen and digitizer takeoff
- Knowledge of MCAA WebLEM
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be an effective member of a team, and be responsive to both internal and external customer
- Sheet metal takeoff is a plus
- Ability to create conceptual estimates for design/build projects is a plus
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Piping estimating: 2 years (required)
- HVAC: 2 years (required)
