**Summary**:
***The Day Monitor is responsible for providing assistance at Robineau Residence by performing tasks necessary to sustain daily operations. Related responsibilities include distributing continental breakfast items to residents, setting up the dining room for lunch and dinner services, restoring the dining room after meal services, as well as miscellaneous light housekeeping and Life Enrichment duties.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Check building log for status.

Monitor building temperatures and make adjustments when necessary.

Sweep floor in dining room.

Distribute continental breakfast items to resident suites.

Distribute meals to resident suites and rooms.

Set up the dining room for lunch and dinner services.

Restore the dining room after meal services.

Miscellaneous light housekeeping duties

Assist with Life Enrichment duties.

Check exterior building doors to ensure they are locked and secure.

Empty garbage from each residential suite.

Implement evening activities.

Monitor all incoming office telephone calls and take messages when necessary.

Respond to activation of resident’s pendants and notify “911”, family members and manager when necessary.

Monitor door entry system and buzz in guests when necessary.

Assist Housekeeping, Laundry and Kitchen upon request.

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout common areas of the building.

Record any incidents in the logbook.

Attend meetings, designated in-service and training seminars as required.

Perform any other related responsibilities as directed by the manager.

**Education and/or Experience**:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Background in working with the elderly or another special needs community is preferred. Limited administrative experience is also a benefit. Good communication skills. Able to read and interpret written information.
