**Dual Enrollment Specialist**

**Terms of Employment**:
LCCS Pay Scale - 200 Days

**Job Goal**: Coordinate the local Dual Enrollment program to assist students taking college-level coursework while earning high school credit, increase the number of students participating in the Dual Enrollment program, and assist with the comprehensive college and career readiness program grades K-12 that results in students understanding the relevance of coursework to postsecondary and career goals.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of T-5 Certification.
- Experience handling all aspects of the Dual Enrollment Program.
- Experience working with post-secondary institutions.
- Experience working with students at the secondary level.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with students and adults.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in front of large groups in a professional manner.
- Ability to evaluate program outcomes, organize monthly statistics, identify and address system needs.
- Knowledge of postsecondary opportunities, including but not limited to colleges, technical schools, and employment opportunities.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or the Board of Education find appropriate and acceptable.

**Essential Duties**:

- Serve as the point of contact between Liberty County School System (LCSS) and colleges, schools and universities.
- Coordinate informational/recruitment sessions and materials.
- Support and communicate benefits of Dual Enrollment and the Advanced Career Diploma initiatives.
- Orient students at each high school with dual enrollment procedures.
- Maintain a student database showing eligibility, completed paperwork, and other required documents.
- Collaborate with school counselors regarding scheduling of Dual Enrollment students.
- Organize and facilitate Accuplacer testing sessions.
- Monitor Dual Enrollment caseloads, student progress.
- Meet with students, parents and school staff as necessary.
- Adhere to state and local records requirements.
- Evaluate Dual Enrollment student files and participate in the state audit of the program.
- Provide Section 504 plans or IEPs to instructors on the LEA campus and to the appropriate coordinator off-campus.
- Coordinate with the LCCA CEO regarding technical college courses offered and locations.
- Participate in/present at high school counselor and registrar meetings.
- Provide Dual Enrollment training for middle school counselors and administrators.
- Assist with county-wide college awareness initiatives.
- Assist with developing vertically aligned college and career advisement K-12.
- Collaborate with the Georgia Student Finance Commission.
- Update county websites as needed.
- Administer District End of Pathway Assessment testing.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Physical Requirements**:
Able to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities including:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

**Terms of Employment**:
***Salary shall be paid consistent on the System’s approved salary schedule. Length of work year and hours of employment shall be established by the system.

**Evaluation**:
***Performance of this job will be evaluated by the building CEO.
