**SUMMARY**:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list and post-production cut.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Ensure logical sequencing of clips and transitions.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Edit short and long-form videos for university website and social media accounts.
- Knowledge of creating video content in a mobile technology format.
- Ability to work with multi-track audio and audio balancing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Responsible for post-production editing, preparing files for content distribution across digital channels.
- Creative thinking with a critical eye for detail
- Critical thinking and ability to pivot with recording issues as they arise.
- Work closely with enrollment marketing, academic, and admissions teams to produce compelling videos that support key university initiatives.
- Work closely with the online learning team to edit visually engaging course content and provide compelling b-roll.
- As appropriate, supervise a team of interns and student workers.
- Ability to identify and work with freelancers across various stages of the creative process.
- Manage and catalog digital video assets for intuitive access across relevant teams.
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, User Interface, language, colors and images.
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends.
- Other duties as assigned.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES**:

- A bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, film studies, cinematography, or related experience.
- 2-3 years’ experience with digital technology, editing software packages, and creating video for mobile technology.
- Must have motion graphics experience, including animating titles, transitions, lower thirds, intros/outros
- Working with other campus creatives to solve video problems, such as audio, image quality
- Creating different types of videos, including GIFs, short videos, animations
- Accept feedback and ask questions to achieve brief and project goals when completing a video project.
- Ensuring final deliverables meet project requirements and university expectations.
- Knowledge of the logic and structure behind interactive elements
- Detail oriented with commitment to accuracy and the pursuit of excellence.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with faculty and staff on campus and maintain a good working relationship with them.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong team and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and self-starter.
- Proficient in the following software programs (or equivalents): Adobe Creative Suite - including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and After Effects - as well as tools like Figma, Sketch, Davinci Resolve, Canva, Balsamiq

**SALARY AND START DATE**:

- Salary: $50,000 - $65,000/year. The actual salary will be commensurate with professional credentials, education and experience. A full benefit package including health plans, disability coverage, and retirement is included.
- Start Date: As soon as possible
