**Job Goal**:
This position is responsible for providing high-level administrative support and assistance to the School Principal and/or other assigned leadership staff. Duties include performing clerical and administrative tasks, arranging travel and accommodations for leadership staff, scheduling meetings and managing calendars, receiving incoming communication or memos on behalf of senior staff, performing office tasks including maintaining records, ordering supplies, and performing basic bookkeeping, and performing other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Education/Experience - B.A. Degree or B.S. Degree with three years related experience; or A.A. Degree with five years related experience; or Vocational training (720 hours) with six years related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent with seven years related experience.

**Performance Responsibilities**:

- Word Processing/Typing - Type forms, reports, memos, minutes, correspondence, newsletters, flyers and/or handbooks. Includes word processing and formatting forms.
- Correspondence - Prepare correspondence. Check for grammar and punctuation. May include translations.
- Records - Maintain and control records. Includes logs, cost records, personnel records, rosters, request for school records, school board minutes, public records request and general records.
- Filing - Set up and organize files and manuals; count and alphabetized Reception records; keep files up-to-date; distribute as needed.
- Mail - Receive, stamp in, and/or distribute incoming correspondence and deliveries, handle outgoing mail, distribute in-house memos and supplies. Maintain mail boxes.
- Payroll Reports - Complete payroll reports for salaried staff, temporary and hourly workers, and teachers. Remit to Payroll Department for processing.
- Office Support Services - Develop and administer comprehensive office support systems customized to school/department needs.
- Public Relations - Address questions, concerns and requests from members of the public.
- Document Review - Review and/or revise reports and documents for accuracy and completeness. This does not include the review of reports and documents covered under subsequent activities.
- Time Records - Maintain time records.
- Assigned Duties - Perform other duties as assigned.

**Physical Demands**:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed.

**Terms of Employment**: 12 months

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
